Our House System

We have five diverse houses at our school to capture the essence and heart of our school community. Our houses were established and created by our students and faculty to represent the five core values. Each house has a mission statement and represent one of the five core values at Bluff Park Elementary.

Clearing the Land for Bluff Park Elementary

This is one of the bulldozers clearing, what is now, the current Bluff Park Elementary. They tore down a portable building (gym) and found a nest filled with eggs. Mrs. Peggy Patton's class used an incubator and followed a wonderful book that described each step of the baby bird’s growth. The children guessed what type of bird. No one guessed correctly! Crow! The school was supposed to be turned, with the front-facing a different direction. The night before construction began- the decision was made to change the direction the school faces. Notice how the machines close to the front door should have been on the side of the building.
